Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lasted 100 miles I was out trail running and slipped in a mud patch. When I caught my balance the side of the shoe had busted through , mile 20/36. By the end of the run, I hit 100 miles so the shoe didn't even last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Everyday Runner I was concerned with heel fit when I first tried on. I use heel lock lacing pattern usually anyway. Doing that have never had heel problems or a single heel blister in Mont Blancs even during marathons, including one in steady rain. I've gone through many pair of Mont Blancs and love this model.

Loved the fit but when it came to running I noticed I couldn't get my heel to lock in. No matter how I tied them they always seemed to move around. Within 2-3 miles I had blisters and was very uncomfortable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Blistered Heel My first pair of Altras. Love the feel for my forefoot, my toes were very happy! My right heel? Not so much or not at all. Four mile test run and received my first heel blister, ever I think! I think I just bought a pair of walkaround shoes. I'll try again with a different shoe that has some structure/padding in the heel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad, but still prefer the Timp I've been running and hiking in Timp's for 5+ years. I found a pair of these on sale and figured I'd give them a try. They are a good shoe, but I still find the fit, comfort, and performance of the Timp more.
