Put your bottle back without looking

This category isn’t filled with generic kits: it’s entirely devoted to the Fidlock magnetic system, which replaces the conventional bottle cage with a different approach. Instead of sliding between two cage arms, the bottle attaches magnetically to a base and locks mechanically with a quarter-turn. A twist releases it.

What difference does it make in practice?

  • No more lining it up. The magnet draws the bottle onto its base; there’s no need to look for the bottle cage opening or feel around for it. That’s the main benefit, measured in seconds of attention kept on the road.
  • No rattling, no bouncing loose. Once the bottle is in place, it locks mechanically: a jolt can’t eject it, unlike a conventional bottle cage that’s too loose.
  • No cage arms to scratch it. The bottle doesn’t rub against anything when you fit it.
  • On the other hand, the whole setup weighs more than a carbon bottle cage, and the starting price is higher.

What to know before ordering

The connector is on the bottle, not on the mount. So a standard bottle won’t fit not on a Fidlock base, and a Fidlock bottle won’t stay in an ordinary bottle cage. In other words, you’re not just buying a bottle cage: you’re adopting a system, bottle included. That’s also why this category offers replacement bottles on their own — when the bottle wears out, the base stays in place.

Choosing your base

  • The bolt-on base attaches to the frame’s standard bottle-cage mounts, like a conventional cage. It’s the neatest and most discreet setup.
  • The universal strap-on base attaches to any tube, without eyelets. It’s the answer for small frames, frames without mounting points and improvised setups — a genuine advantage that conventional bottle cages don’t offer.
  • A dedicated e-MTB base takes account of the space occupied by the battery in the down tube.
  • A adapter lets you switch between base types without buying another bottle.
  • A stick-on connector turns another container — a thermos or flask — into a compatible accessory.

Sizes and shapes

The range runs from 450 to 800 ml, with a compact 750 ml version wider and shorter, designed for frame triangles where a standard 750 ml bottle won’t fit. Black, smoke and clear finishes are available across most sizes, and a anticlockwise locking direction is available for setups where the natural twisting motion is reversed.
