Probikeshop: French bike parts specialist since 2005

Probikeshop is a French online retailer specialising in spare parts, components and equipment for regular to intensive cyclists. Founded in 2005 in Lyon by Olivier Rochon, the site covers MTB, road, gravel, BMX and electric bikes.

Our catalogue now features over 40,000 products from more than 300 brands, including Shimano, SRAM, Maxxis, Continental, DT Swiss, Fox and Castelli. We also distribute Zeen, our own brand of frames and components. We deliver to France and 15 other European countries.

Probikeshop is an online cycling specialist: our entire range is dedicated to cycling in all its forms — mountain biking, road cycling, gravel, BMX, cyclocross and e-biking. This specialisation is reflected in our catalogue: we stock parts that generalist retailers don’t carry, from derailleur hangers and shock seals to freehub bodies and fork cartridges.

Our team is made up of riders and technicians who can answer your questions on compatibility, fitting and maintenance via live chat and email, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Since we took over in January 2024, we have dispatched more than 300,000 orders.

Our customers are happy with our service, as our Trustpilot rating shows.

Frequently asked questions

Is Probikeshop still in business?

Yes, and with the same enthusiasm as ever!

Probikeshop is operating and dispatching orders every day. The site was taken over in January 2024 after a period of restructuring in late 2023, and has dispatched more than 300,000 orders since then.

The team has 15 members, all from the previous team, with an average of eight years’ service. We’re based in our long-standing offices on Quai Rambaud in Lyon. The catalogue now contains more than 40,000 products and grows every week.

This fresh start is, above all, a story of friendship: Olivier, our founder, is back at the helm alongside Ken, his long-time friend. We’re moving forward step by step, with the same enthusiasm we’ve had since 2005.

Who took over Probikeshop?

Probikeshop was taken over in January 2024 by its original founder, Olivier Rochon, in partnership with Ken Geissler, owner of Troika.

The partnership is no coincidence: Ken was already working alongside Olivier when Probikeshop was founded in 2005. It’s a return to its roots, away from large financial groups.

Logistics are handled by Snowleader, a major French outdoor retailer, through its subsidiary Robloch’log.

The operational team is made up entirely of former team members based in Lyon.

Is Probikeshop a trustworthy website?

Yes. Probikeshop is rated 4.7/5 on Trustpilot based on more than 171,000 customer reviews.

The site is operated by Probikeshop, a company registered in France under number 983316951, with its registered office at 52 QUAI RAMBAUD, 69002 LYON.

Three concrete reasons to trust us:

Proven logistics. Your orders are prepared and dispatched by Snowleader, one of France’s leading online outdoor retailers.

30 days to change your mind. Returns are free if you choose store credit. Our after-sales team deals directly with the brands.

Figures that speak for themselves. More than 300,000 orders dispatched since January 2024. Shopify presented us with an award for our first year after the takeover.

Was Probikeshop placed into compulsory liquidation?

It’s important to distinguish the brand’s history from the company that operates the site today. Probikeshop’s business was taken over in January 2024. The site is currently operated by PROBIKESHOP, registered with the Lyon Trade and Companies Register under number 983 316 951, a company established on 8 January 2024.

The proceedings involving the previous operator in 2023 should not be confused with this company’s situation. The site is operating, and more than 300,000 orders have been dispatched since the takeover.

Who founded Probikeshop?

Olivier Rochon founded Probikeshop in 2005. He still runs the company today from its offices in Lyon.

To relaunch the brand in January 2024, he joined forces with Ken Geissler, owner of Troika, who had already supported him when he founded it in 2005.

All 15 people who run the site were part of the previous team, with an average of eight years’ service.

We share the same vision: a specialist site that is close to its customers and passionate about cycling gear.

Can I place an order on Probikeshop?

Yes. More than 40,000 products are available to order, including spare parts, components, accessories and gear for mountain biking, road cycling, gravel, BMX and e-bikes.

We deliver to France and 15 other European countries, including Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands.

Delivery to a collection point is free on orders of €100 or more in mainland France. Allow 2–3 working days for delivery in France. You can pay in 3, 4 or 10 instalments with Alma.

You have 30 days to return a product. Returns are free if you choose store credit.

What makes Probikeshop different from other online cycling shops?

The main difference lies in the depth of its technical range, dedicated to cycling and nothing else.

In practice, that makes a difference in two ways.

The breadth of our spare-parts range. We stock components you won’t find at a general retailer: derailleur hangers for specific frame models, jockey wheels and cages, freehub bodies, shock seals and bushings, fork cartridges and headset spacers. These are the parts that let you repair rather than replace.

The quality of our advice. All our technicians are cyclists themselves. They spend all day answering questions about compatibility and fitting, focusing solely on cycling.

You can reach them by live chat or email, Monday to Friday, from 8.30 am to 5 pm.

If you’re looking for the right part for your bike, that’s been our speciality since 2005.

Probikeshop: everything cycling, and nothing but cycling.
