Pair of MAVIC COMETE 45/55 Tubeless Ready Wheels (Center Lock)

The MAVIC COMETE 45/55 Wheelset combines aerodynamics, lightness and responsiveness to deliver high performance across a wide variety of terrains. This setup features a 45 mm front wheel and a 55 mm rear wheel, engineered to optimise speed while maintaining precise handling. With a claimed weight of just 1,350 g per pair, it focuses on lightness and agility.

The rim features an Aero Wide Rim profile with an internal width of 25 mm and an external width of 34 mm, developed around 30 mm tyres. This geometry fosters a seamless tyre-to-rim transition to improve airflow and aerodynamic efficiency. The hooked carbon construction uses an Adaptive Layup combining T700, T1000 and 3K fibres.

The 21 Aero carbon spokes per wheel help reduce drag while enhancing lateral stiffness. Their lacing pattern features 14 two-cross spokes and 7 radial spokes. This design ensures direct power transfer and sharp handling precision, while helping to absorb road vibrations.

The Mavic Ceramic bearings reduce friction to promote smooth running. The hub also incorporates the ID360 40T system, designed to provide near-instant freewheel engagement. The Center Lock mount and 12 mm thru-axles complete this road-focused package.

The 45/55 configuration particularly excels on mountainous routes and steep gradients. It combines responsive front-end steering with a 55 mm rear wheel that enhances stability and rolling speed.
