Pair of MAVIC COMETE 55/65 Tubeless Ready Wheels (Center Lock)

The MAVIC COMETE 55/65 Wheelset is designed to prioritise aerodynamic performance and speed on fast, rolling and undulating courses. This setup pairs a 55 mm front wheel with a 65 mm rear wheel to further reduce drag and efficiently hold top speed. Despite these deep profiles, weight is kept down to 1,390 g per pair for a purely performance-oriented design.

The Aero Wide Rim features an internal width of 25 mm and an external width of 34 mm. It is developed around a 30 mm tyre to achieve an optimised tyre-to-rim transition. This design improves airflow and contributes to aerodynamic efficiency, especially as speeds increase.

The Adaptive Layup carbon construction combines different T700, T1000 and 3K fibres to strike the perfect balance between stiffness, weight, handling precision and vibration damping. Each wheel is fitted with 21 Aero carbon spokes, arranged in a 2-cross pattern for 14 spokes and radial for 7 spokes. This layout promotes direct power transfer while minimising drag.

Mavic Ceramic bearings help reduce friction and ensure smooth running. The ID360 40T freehub system provides near-instant engagement, while the aluminium hubs are designed for 12 mm thru-axles and Center Lock disc mounting.

The 55/65 configuration is particularly suited to fast, undulating routes, where rolling speed and aerodynamic efficiency are key priorities. It is an ideal option for rides where total elevation gain generally remains below 1,500 metres.
