Description

The Restrap Switch Direct Mount Adapter lets you fit the Switch Rack directly to the frame’s mounting points without using the thru-axle. It’s designed for riders who prefer a direct-mount attachment over an axle-mounted system.

Compatible with frames that have horizontally aligned M5 mounting points, this adapter can be fitted to the rear dropouts or the seatstays. It suits bikes with 135 mm, 142 mm or 148 mm (Boost) rear spacing, and all mounting hardware is included.

Made from aluminium, it combines strength with low weight. Designed and hand-assembled in the UK, this Restrap product comes with a limited warranty against manufacturing defects. Additional frame mounts are available separately as spare parts.

Technical information

Function: converts the Switch Rack from thru-axle mounting to direct mounting on the frame
Frame compatibility: horizontally aligned M5 mounting points on the rear dropouts or seatstays
Compatible rear spacing: 135 mm, 142 mm and 148 mm (Boost)
Not compatible with: frames with M5 mounting points facing upwards or inwards; not designed for full-suspension frames
Material: aluminium
Hardware included: M5 bolts in two lengths, 40 mm and 50 mm, to suit the thickness and spacing of the frame dropouts
Adapter orientation: insert the short end into the mounting point for 135 mm and 142 mm spacing; insert the long end for 148 mm Boost spacing
Installation check: bolts must not protrude more than 3–5 mm inside the dropouts to avoid interference with the brake discs or drivetrain
Rack attachment: rubberised fabric strap around the seatpost or seat tube, secured with an additional hook-and-loop strap, then tighten all bolts
Spare parts: additional frame mounts available separately
Manufacture: designed and hand-assembled in the UK
