Description

The DMR V8 Classic copper flat pedals retain the original shape of the renowned V8, a mountain biking favourite for nearly 30 years, in a special-edition copper colour.

Their die-cast 6061 aluminium body is slim (20 mm) and slightly concave. The 90 × 94 mm platform, more compact than that of the current V8, suits smaller feet and children’s mountain bikes. 20 pins per pedal, including 8 removable pins, provide grip, while the corner pins can be adjusted to achieve the desired grip (DMR Terror pins sold separately).

With a CroMo steel axle and dual DU bushings, they offer smooth rotation and durability, and can be fully serviced with DMR maintenance kits. Weight: 520 g per pair.

Frequently asked questions

How do they differ from the standard DMR V8?

The V8 Classic retains the original shape of the V8, with a more compact platform (90 × 94 mm versus 95 × 100 mm for the current V8) and dual DU bushings. The current V8 has a wider platform, suited to larger shoe sizes.

Can these pedals be serviced?

Yes: they can be disassembled using DMR service kits (DU bushings), and the corner pins are replaceable. Tighten the axle to the crank to 40-55 Nm.

Are they suitable for children and smaller shoe sizes?

Yes: with its 90 × 94 mm platform, the V8 Classic is well proportioned for smaller mountain bike shoes and children’s mountain bikes, while still offering excellent grip.
