Description
The MICROSHIFT ADVENT MX 1x10-speed G-Series HG groupset is the 10-speed MTB drivetrain in the ADVENT MX range: three components, an 11–48-tooth range and a standard Shimano HG freehub body, so there’s no need for a specific hub.
It offers the same generational leap as the 11-speed groupset: the MX Trail Trigger shifter reduces the engagement angle to 3° from 12°, and the derailleur has a clutch claimed to be 33 % firmer. The difference from the 11-speed groupset is the derailleur: this has the standard steel-cage model (435 g), rather than the aluminium-cage Pro version.
What’s in the groupset? The SL-M7005-R right-hand shifter, RD-M7005M rear derailleur and G-Series CS-EG106 11-48 cassette. Neither a chain nor a crankset is included.
Useful to know for servicing: the small sprockets on the CS-EG106 cassette can be replaced individually; they’re the ones that wear fastest.
