Highlights
- Interlock System (Threaded): The cups screw together at the heart of the BB30 shell. This perfectly aligns the bearings, stiffens the bottom bracket and eliminates annoying creaking.
- Stainless Steel Bearings (Inox): Provide a formidable barrier against rust and oxidation, significantly extending the lifespan of the bottom bracket.
- CNC-Machined Aluminium: Robust and lightweight cups machined with micrometric precision for a perfect fit in the frame.
- Multi-Lip Sealing: Equipped with effective double-lip seals to keep out dust and water on race tracks.
Description
The bottom bracket Pride Racing BB30 Interlock Inox is specially designed to permanently eliminate creaking noises and recurring alignment issues on frames fitted with Press Fit bottom bracket shells. Thanks to the patented Interlock system, the two cups connect and screw into each other at the centre of the frame, creating an ultra-rigid assembly that keeps the bearings perfectly parallel.
To ensure maximum longevity, this high-end version features high-precision stainless steel bearings (Inox). Unlike standard steel, stainless steel offers remarkable resistance to corrosion caused by moisture, mud and frequent washing. Combined with an internal axle diameter of 24 mm, this is the ideal mechanical upgrade to improve the drivetrain reliability of your BMX.
What is the advantage of the Interlock Inox over the Ceramic model? A: The Ceramic model targets absolute efficiency with minimal friction coefficient for high-level competition. The Inox version, on the other hand, focuses on maximum durability and resistance to the elements. If you ride frequently in winter conditions or wash your bike often, the Inox is the most strategic and cost-effective long-term choice.
Is it compatible with Euro standard (BSA) frames? No. This model fits exclusively in BB30 (42 mm diameter) bottom bracket shells. For a threaded Euro frame, you should look towards the brand's EB24 range.
How is this bottom bracket installed? Although it is installed in a Press Fit frame, the two parts screw mechanically into each other. Standard external bottom bracket tools are required. It is strongly recommended to apply a thin layer of grease on the surfaces in contact with the frame to perfect the assembly and ensure completely silent operation.
