Reviews

High-quality cassette that works reliably

"A high-quality cassette that runs quietly. Compatible with the SLX trigger shifter. However, the quality of the spacer rings has declined."

— Kevin O. (4/5)

Reliability and durability

"This is my third one. The only reason to replace it is wear and tear. No broken teeth like you see with other American brands. It’s a bit heavier, sure, but the shifting under load is exceptionally smooth, even with the 2026 Di2 versions. It requires regular maintenance to keep it running at its best."

— Romuald B. (5/5)

The product is as described, but it would be

"The product is as described, but it would be nice if the parts were pre-assembled so we wouldn't have to struggle during assembly trying to find the right position for the spacers—especially for beginners like me, of course!"

— Frédéric H. (4/5)

"The cassette arrived wrapped in bubble wrap; otherwise, it was in great condition."

XT 8100 Cassette

"The cassette arrived with two damaged teeth on the '51-tooth aluminum rear sprocket.' Probably due to a fall. The cassette wasn’t in its original packaging. That probably explains it. It’s a shame—that’s not very professional for a big company like that. I can’t return it because I’m not home during the week, and on weekends I don’t have much time."

— Vedrenne (1/5)

Excellent value for money

"Great value for money; top-notch Shimano quality"
