Bestemd voor fietsers die competitief of puur recreatief rijden, zullen de LOOK Kéo 2 Max pedalen hebben in hun versie 2018 meerdere verbeteringen ondergaan om hun betrouwbaarheidsniveau nog verder te verhogen. 

De breedte van het steunvlak wordt met 3 mm vergroot tot 60 mm: het comfort en de stabiliteit onder de zool worden zo verbeterd, terwijl het totale steunoppervlak — nu 500 mm² — met 25% toeneemt om het prestatieniveau en de kwaliteit van de vermogensoverdracht te verhogen. De vorm van de roestvrijstalen plaat is ook aangepast om optimaal aan te sluiten op de geometrie van het schoenplaatje, ongeacht de gebruikte positie en hoekige vrijheid. 

Het pedalenlichaam, vervaardigd uit composietmateriaal, integreert een oversized as in chromoly+ staal. Deze biedt een nieuw lagersysteem, met een conische afstandshouder gecombineerd met de naaldbus en het interne kogellager, om het betrouwbaarheidsniveau van het geheel te verhogen en het risico op speling te verminderen. 

Tot slot is het dankzij hun verstelbare spanning mogelijk om de moeilijkheidsgraad van het in- en uitklikken in te stellen.

"Very disappointed by these pedals, indeed after one month of use and less than 500kms, an abnormal play, at the level of the axis! I had bought these pedals approximately 2 years ago impossible to know the exact date because Probi did not preserve the history of purchase since the change!
