De rechter versnellingsschakelaar SHIMANO XTR 11 versnellingen is een topmodel dat beschikt over een zeer efficiënt en betrouwbaar mechanisme en een afwerking van hoge kwaliteit. De indexering is gebaseerd op een Vivid-mechanisme, dat minder inspanning vereist, ultrasnel is (Instant Release) en de mogelijkheid biedt om indien nodig 2 versnellingen tegelijk te schakelen!
De hendels zijn ergonomisch en de hoofdhendel is van carbon voor meer lichtheid. Het geheel is getextureerd voor een betere grip.

"I have three other XTR groupsets on older bikes, and they're a real joy to use—precise and smooth. These XTR 11-speed shifters are still precise but very unpleasant, especially when shifting down; it takes a lot of effort with the index finger to operate the downshift lever. I contacted the technicians at Probikeshop, thinking there was a defect with this shifter, but they confirmed that on this 11-speed model, it’s normal to no longer have that smooth shifting feel. . ."
