Voor deze tweede functie wordt de sleutel op de cassettemoeringen gemonteerd en volstaat het dan de pedalen te draaien. Een kracht van 40 Nm wordt via de ketting overgedragen, waardoor het vrijwiel eenvoudig kan worden gedemonteerd.
