"bought to replace an ultegra 11 V lever that failed after 2 years (small spring broken in the internal mechanism "clockwork") the 105 has exactly the same internal design, a few grams heavier because a little aluminum and steel instead of plastic and carbon; but much cheaper and performs exactly the same function. operation is smooth, much less "sliced" than SRAM; a word of advice = take the opportunity to replace cable and sheath at the same time; the function will be magnified."
