"Great chain—it's quiet, and the gears shift really smoothly. When I installed it, I degreased it thoroughly with F-gasoline, along with the rest of the drivetrain. After installation, I lubricated it with Squirt Lub wax. Since then, I’ve ridden 3,200 km. Yesterday I measured the chain’s wear; it’s at 0.2% elongation. With my previous chains, lubricated with oil, I never went past 4,300 km with more than 0.5% elongation. With this chain combined with wax lubrication, I’m well on my way to far exceeding 4,300 km. If we apply a proportional calculation to the elongation percentage, I should reach 7,000 km before hitting the fateful 0.5% elongation mark—all this with maintenance reduced to the bare minimum: a quick wipe with a cloth and a reapplication of wax. Soon, I’ll give it a thorough cleaning with hot water and a sponge—I think that’ll be more than enough, especially since it’s halfway through its lifespan. . Bottom line: in summary, a very good chain; combined with the wax, it offers excellent durability and runs quietly and perfectly. The next time I change it, I’ll use the same chain lubricated in the same way."
