Screw thread defects

"The transparent valve cap quickly becomes invisible and non-replaceable (poor design choice). The screw thread shrivels once it reaches the clamping stop (no doubt the cap's material is too brittle); it's the same thing or nothing. The tightening screw on the rim is no better. It's getting to be a lot, which is a shame. No punctures so far, after 4 XC outings on very rocky terrain. You have to ride with a lot of air to avoid pinching, especially on a 29"". I'm thinking of switching to other products for my next rooms."
