Indexeringen baseras på en Vivid-mekanism som kräver mindre kraft, är ultrasnabb (Instant Release) och erbjuder möjligheten att växla 2 steg åt gången vid behov!
Reglagen är ergonomiska och det primära reglaget är i kolfiber för lägre vikt. Hela konstruktionen är texturerad för bättre grepp.

"I have three other XTR groupsets on older bikes, and they're a real joy to use—precise and smooth. These XTR 11-speed shifters are still precise but very unpleasant, especially when shifting down; it takes a lot of effort with the index finger to operate the downshift lever. I contacted the technicians at Probikeshop, thinking there was a defect with this shifter, but they confirmed that on this 11-speed model, it’s normal to no longer have that smooth shifting feel. . ."
