Hydraulic brakes on an electric bike
"I had a friend buy a pair of HS11s—he has an e-bike that came with some crappy, low-end V-brakes (MATRA bike—don't buy it, it's junk...). The biggest challenge was routing the rear brake hose through the frame. . . But other than that, installation is very simple. Shortening the hoses is a breeze; no need to bleed the brakes afterward if you’re just a little bit careful. My friend doesn’t even recognize his bike anymore—he can brake even with a trailer full of kids in tow :-)"
