Hutchinson and my brand

"Hutchinson has been my brand for as long as I've been riding, I like the Gila on all terrains and they don't wear out as quickly as some brands, the only problem is that they're soft, so I've had problems with them slamming on the rims, but once fitted they're a pleasure to ride, true to the brand."

Really disappointing

"After production of the Cougar tire from the same brand ceased, I tested other tires. When I saw the Gila coming, I said to myself: 'What a godsend, I'm going to get the good old Cougar back under a new name'". Rear mounted. Very disappointing: it slips on dry ground, in scree and in wet conditions. What's more, the rubber wears out very quickly (Hutchinson, a little Gila Hard Skin RaceRipost 66TPI would be very welcome in 29x2. 25) The tubeless ready preventive had far too many opportunities: too sensitive to punctures... . It's sad, when I was looking forward to the Cougar design. On all the points that seem important to me, not a single one was right. Unfortunately, it didn't make it 600km, although it was soft."

tearing after 1st use

"tire with an interesting profile, but tore after only 10km on a downhill. of course, Probikeshop took care of this problem with the shipment of a new tire."

Guigou (3/5)

very versatile

"mounted on my xc bmc I find it very versatile light I know it well I rode for a year with mount front and rear winter and summer all types of roads (limited when the terrain is very greasy) I weigh 66KG for 1.76 M never punctured the price probike top "

Good braking, average versatility

"Rear-mounted, excellent braking, avoids hunting when braking downhill, better than the Taipan (which was worn. . . ) but less versatile, performance a little worse."

torn tire right after

"tire ripped right after purchase, repair possible and effective avoid rocks and under-inflated".

good performance on soft, damp ground

"ideal for Reunion Island where the ground is often wet".
